Dear Jmail Users,
Now it is December and in a few days I will be 40. First the good news: 1. blogs are working. check out www.moon.co.jp 2. Jmail logins are working 3. mail is flowing -- both incoming and outgoing a. We have one -incoming- mail server now. We are planning to build more so incoming email can be delivered quicker. When mail volume is huge, mail delivery gets slow. Your support and donations are paying for the next server. Thank you. Now, the not quite good news yet: 1. password changes and function changes are not live today. The ability to change your passwords, your account information and request new services and upgrades automaticaly is 90% ready. 2. Once the system is back in place, very soon, we will then look at data recovery from the hard disks that contain Jmail user's old mail.
a. because of the price estimates we will have to wait until more Jmail users upgrade.

Jmail 2.0 Release Notes The login url is www8.jmail.co.jp/cgi-bin/webmail.cgi The interface is in English. We are having trouble with encoding for the Japanese interface but expect that to be fixed soon. Please Email me at Brad@Bartz.com with your questions. JMAIL FORWARDING SERVICE From now on only upgrade Jmail members will be able to forward Jmail email to cell phones or any other email account. This means that all of the email that comes to your Jmail account can be forwarded automatically to an outside acount. What are the benefits?
YOUR SUPPORT MEANS NEW SERVERS We have 100 cool .co.jp domains for you to choose from. Japan has expensive domains. The low use domains will be put up for "adoption" with the new "domain parent" having some or all of that domains content control. SENDING MAIL IS .... Dear Jmail Users.
We are close. Sorry for being so late in this message. We have been working hard to get mail back up and working. We have incoming mail coming in. We have the web login mail interfaces also. I am working on the final testing now. Old mail has not been recovered. We are moving forward with new mail. In paralell we will send the broken netapp hard disk shelf in for hopeful recovery. To be fair to the Netapp. We are using the good hard disks and shelfs for the going forward service. To those who donated via paypal! Thank you! Many of you also offered to donate via bank account. Once we have the service fully operational we will list ways to support Jmail. With your support we will buy better equipment and run a better service. Thank you for your patience.
